The Gluten Guy creator

About the creator

My name is Naman Kaushik, and I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2020. Ever since my diagnosis, living with Celiac Disease was something I dealt with on a daily basis. Finding restaurants, food products, and meal prepping became ten times harder, and it took me years to figure out how to live with my condition. Not only that, but the financial aspect of gluten-free products being more expensive than regular products was another challenge I dealt with. That is why I created The Gluten Guy. I want people who are diagnosed with Celiac Disease to have an easier time and navigating the challenges I had to figure out alone. I want you to use this app to alleviate the time, stress, and costs that comes with being gluten-free. Not only that, I want you to build a community with other people who are gluten-free and come together to make being gluten-free just a little bit easier and a little bit more fun. I hope you enjoy the app!

How The Gluten Guy works

Living gluten-free means reading every label. The Gluten Guy cuts that down to one scan.

  1. Step 1

    Scan the barcode

Use your phone's camera or type the code manually.

  2. Step 2

    We check the database

We check a database of millions of products to find the exact food products you scan.

  3. Step 3

    You get a clear answer

Gluten free, contains gluten, may contain, or unknown with an explanation for the response.

  4. Step 4

    See alternatives

If a product isn't safe, we suggest similar options that are certified gluten free, cheaper, and in a store near you.

Note: The Gluten Guy helps you screen products but isn't a substitute for reading labels or medical advice. Always double-check packaging for allergens. New to this? Start with our gluten-free food list guide.
